Well, well, well. Another dang milestone. Two months and counting.
I’m doing okay today, folks. I got up. I drank some coffee. I played guitar.
Scout’s harness showed up! We gave it a little test run and it went solidly okay. We didn’t quite make it outside. Someone was too scared (I’ll let you guess which one of us it was), but we’ll give it another go tomorrow.
I have at last evolved into my final form: person walking cat on leash.
Other details of the day: I continued work on my short story based on the Mr. Fox fairy tale. I shared an early draft of it a few months ago on my Patreon. (What’s that? You didn’t know that I have a Patreon? Well, I do! Here it is if you feel inclined to check it out.)
This particular story is a slippery rascal. I think because I have such a strong opinion about what it should be about. It seems to resist having such a restricted framework. It wants to be about everything despite me telling it that it will be more powerful if it resolves itself to a few themes.
I’ll keep working with it. We’ll get there eventually. Or I’ll abandon it as a lost cause.
Otherwise, it has been a beautiful day in Oakland.
Sending lots of love,
